I began playing volleyball in middle school and always had respect for the game. In high school I participated in cross country, cheerleading, basketball, track and softball. Being captain of various sports, I knew early on that I wanted to be a teacher/coach. I am a lifelong learner and have a true passion for athletics. I always enjoyed helping my fellow athletes and serving others. In basketball, I received many honors such as new comer of the year, second team all-district, first team all-district, most valuable player, and all-around athlete award. Playoff accomplishments consist of regional quarter finals, regionals, and area in my senior year of basketball. I enjoyed track as well and as a sophomore was anchor leg for all the relays. Throughout my track career I always made an appearance at regionals and received medals for many events.
I always enjoyed the competitive nature of sports and the life long-lessons that you learn. I continued my education and graduated from University of North Texas with a degree in History. I was also blessed to start a family and have my son.
This is my fifth-year teaching and coaching at Central and my eighth year over all in education. My coaching career started at Farmersville High School and that’s where volleyball came alive for me. I enjoyed the strategy of the game and developed a passion for it throughout the years. I was the freshman volleyball/JV basketball coach and was part of that program for two years. Lady farmers made playoffs the second year in volleyball when I was there and in basketball went to the third round. I joined the coyotes at Anna High School and coached JV basketball/JV volleyball. At Anna we made the Payoffs in volleyball and basketball. Then I became a Charger and wouldn’t have it any other way! At Central High School I was honored to be the varsity assistant for four years in basketball. Now I am looking forward to coaching freshman volleyball and basketball.
I have a wonderful supportive husband, two step children (Bella 8 and Logan 15), and my son (Hudson 12). I am looking forward to continuing my coaching career at Central and watching all my kids play sports. I am very grateful to be part of an outstanding program and to further develop the potential of high school athletes.
