Fort Worth, TX - Central Tennis put on their annual Turkey Mixer Tournament Monday night as varsity players teamed up with their favorite teachers to take part in a mixed doubles tournament. In the battle of tennis supremacy, Coach Ziegler and senior
Christina Baxter came out on top. Baxter is no stranger to double tennis dominance as she won the district doubles title last year. Ziegler, Central's Boy's Golf coach was honored for his tennis dominance, like all past winners, with a frozen turkey.

Perhaps most importantly was the fact that while several teachers were reported to be rather sore Tuesday morning, no major injuries were sustained as the competitive juices flowed. Coach Hannon, who has long been a participating in the Mixer, finished as runner up while Mr. Chabot partnered with
Meredith Munoz for the third straight year, and fittingly finished in third place.
After losing their opening match, Coach Haynes and senior
Asia Rhodes went unbeaten claiming the Consolation Bracket Championship and CHS English teacher Mr. Hughes and his partner sophomore
Kiersten Unger received the unique honor of finishing in last place.
The ELA department had the largest representation by far with five teachers participating, followed by the CTE department with three teachers. Teachers from Physical Education, Social Studies, Science, Choir, and Foreign Languages along with Central's Athletic training program and Administration also took part.
