Fort Worth, TX - You've undoubtedly heard the saying 'Timing Is Everything' and the Lady Chargers (9-10, 2-1) basketball program is proving just that. After winning just one of their first seven contests, Central have gone 7-4 since December 1, and 5-2 in their last seven, including wins in their first two district games over Keller (10-9, 1-2) at home and on the road against V.R. The Bobcats have lost their first three district matchups and managed just won win, a 59-54 victory over Arlington Martin, this season.

As mentioned, the Lady Chargers started their district season off with a massive victory over last years district runners up Keller and were led by junior Malayiah Foster with 17 points along with seven steals. Usually, you'd expect a player with seven steals to led all players, but that wasn't the case as freshmen Sklyah Benbow robbed the Indians on nine occasions while grabbing 11 rebounds. Senior
Zhoe Ouimette joined Foster in double-digit scoring with 13 points and finished just one rebound shy of a double-double.
The win over Keller was just the third in program history and the first since January 31, 2009 as the Indians had won 29 consecutive contests over the Lady Chargers.
Looking further forward, Central will face off against Fossil Ridge on the road next Tuesday before returning to The Bolt for Teacher Appreciation Night as they battle Timber Creek and wrap up their first round of district play. At the start off the season, the program set a second ever postseason appearance as one of their key goals, and as the Lady Chargers appear to be peaking at just the right time, there's certainly more than enough reason to be believe a postseason appearance is in the cards.
