Fort Worth, TX - Senior
Nehemiah Weber joined an exclusive club Saturday night, surpassing the 1,000 point mark for his Central career as the Chargers (21-8) defeated Byron Nelson (23-7, 7-4) 81-76. Only three Chargers have surpassed 1000 points in their careers:
Weber brought his season total up to 527 points and currently sits just over 100 points away from the record for total points scored in a season at Central held by
Mason Jones who finished the 2021-22 season with 630 points. Latrell Jossell (2016-2020) holds the record for points scored in a Central Career with 1,311.
Weber's 25 points came in a crucial win over Bobcat's that moved the Chargers into a three-way tie for second place in the district. He was joined as a double-digit scorer by
Aiden Wall (17 Points),
Winston Jones (13 Points), and
Brandon Disney-Harper (10 Points). Wall, a senior guard has seen his offensive production continue to increase over the last few games and fell just three points shy of his career high of 20 points.
