Lampton & Disney-Harper Selected to Second Team, Six Players Receive Academic All-District Honors

Fort Worth, TX - Opposing players felt senior Winston Jones defensive presence all year long and this week, the district coaches acknowledged that presence, naming him Co-Defensive Player of the Year. The 6'5 forward wrapped up a three year varsity career at Central with 30 steals in 33 games and and led the district with an impressive 51 total blocks.

The Chargers had two seniors receive First Team All-District honors. Recent Western New Mexico commit Aiden Wall and guard Nehemiah Weber received the prestigious honor of being named one of the top players in a district where one team (Keller) reached the Regional Quarterfinals while another, Byron Nelson, whom the Chargers swept this season (Away: 51-46 W, Home: 81-76 W), advanced all the way to the Regional Finals.

Weber was Top 10 in the district in points, rebounds, assists, and steals while shooting an impressive 42 percent form the field while Wall was Top 10 in points, assists, and steals and shot the sixth best three point percentage in the district, at just over 35 percent for the season.

The parade of honors continued for the Chargers senior class as Brandon Disney-Harper and Dominic Lampton were named to the Second Team All-District squad. Lampton, who saw his season shortened after picking up a season ending injury in district play, finished top 10 in the district in points (11.3 PPG), rebounds (5.4 R/G), and assists (1.5 A/G) while Disney-Harper averaged just under 5 points and 3 rebounds per game.

Head Coach Gerald Sledge's side once again proved that they're just as strong on the court as they are in the classroom as six Chargers were named to the Academic All-District team: Aidan Daemon, Jordan Blair, Joseph Mutombo, Brandon Disney-Harper, BJ Allen, and Aiden Wall.
